Ancoats Coffee Co. sits in a beautiful converted warehouse space just across the ring-road in the Ancoats area. It's a spot that's seen a lot of recent development, and there's a lot more to come. The coffee shop's warehouse house shares space with a number of offices and co-working areas, and it's not a surprise to find that it's often busy with people dropping in to meet or do some work. It's a lovely space, too – the warehouse lends curved brick ceilings, brick walls, and steel supports that complement the wooden table seating and bar area. There's also some seating in the adjacent covered courtyard.

Coffee comes from the (literally) in-house roaster, which you can see from the shop floor. It's well made, and there are filter options available as well. A small but interesting food offering makes this a god lunch-time drop-in but it's worth a visit any time.
