BÚÐIN

114 Greenpoint Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222

Editor's Review

Nordic-inspired Budin wears its influence throughout, from its clean, light-wood interior design down to roasts and brews (from roasters from NYC to Scandinavia) that showcase what's trending in the far northern reaches of the coffee world.

It's a space well-suited to Greenpoint, a homey yet trendy neighborhood with a historically Polish influence that can be seen in the businesses and restaurants – it's a community whose tradition and cozy vibes have come to attract the kind of people who might enjoy an indulgent licorice latte on a spacious, leafy backyard patio. Try an AeroPress of coffee imported from a featured roaster like Drop Coffee (Sweden), Koppi (Sweden), or Talor & Jorgen (Norway), or enjoy a selection from regular, Brooklyn-based roaster Sey Coffee (formerly known as Lofted Coffee). Appetites can be soothed by pastries from local bakeries like Bed Stuy's Dough, and for something a little heartier, the cafe hosts afternoon pop-ups of singular lunch items—anyone craving ramen? Laptop use prohibited after 8:00pm.
