Dark Horse’s Spadina location is maybe the best representation of their brand. Found in the centre of Spadina Ave, they proudly display their logo on the huge front windows to represent their status as one of Toronto’s most popular specialty coffee chains. Inside there are similar Dark Horse themes to their other locations with two huge communal tables accounting for most of the seating, worn hardwood floors and decorative light fixtures. Slightly hidden in the back is a doorway cut out of the exposed red brick to lead into another snugger setting fitted with tables and lounge chairs.

Upon entering the café, one can’t help but notice the massive wooden beams that draw the eye to a wood covered ceiling. The brick is painted white on the far wall and is a nice tie in to their white La Marzocco FB80. An ornate, silver coloured bar with wood countertop finishes off the charming space. The front windows act as a billboard for the company and that they represent the comfort and experience of enjoying a great cup of coffee.
