Lew's Coffee Shop
Avocet House, 88 Station Rd, Cardiff CF14 2FG, UK
It's fair to say that Lew's Coffee Shop won't be for all speciality coffee fans. However, it has something that no amount of money or marketing can produce: charm. It's clearly loved by the locals and the staff are super friendly with not only the regulars but any customer.
The interior is scattered with books and film and music memorabilia. The books are a nice touch and range from serious literature to things you might want to have a guilty look through (a Louie Spence autobiography, for example). The funiture is very mixed but also very comfortable – you could quite happily get engrossed in your surroundings for a good while.
If you're in this area of Cardiff then Lew's Coffee Shop is definitely worth a visit; you'll feel part of the local community and you'll no doubt get a good coffee and some great chat too.
