Origin Coffee (Aircraft Factory)

100 Cambridge Grove, Hammersmith, W6 0LE

Editor's Review

Cornish roasters Origin’s London invasion continues apace with their new cafe inside The Aircraft Factory in Hammersmith just down the road from Amoret and increasing the local coffee options no end. Origin are sourcing and roasting superb coffee at present and it’s great news that they now have several locations in London, employing excellent, knowledgeable staff and supporting them well.

The Aircraft Factory was the site where many biplanes and triplanes were built for de Havilland and Handley-Page in 1918. It’s a beautiful, high-ceilinged building which is now a huge space for offices for various companies in a campus of sorts. Fortunately, the on-site cafe, run by Origin is open to the public. It is a simple bright and airy space – a pocket shop - with Origin offering, as at The British Library a couple of espresso options and batch brew. There are Cross Town Doughnuts and a selection of pastries supplied by the Bread Factory. Origin will be launching a light lunch menu in the coming months.
