Qualia's second location doesn't stray far from the concept of "home." Whilst its original location and roastery is stationed in an old Petworth house, this space is nestled inside the newer Gale Eckington apartment complexes. Like the NoMa-Gallaudet's squeaky-clean surroundings (while the café is technically in Eckington, it borders and more closely affiliates with this neighborhood), this Qualia too has a similar, fresh aesthetic unlike its flagship.

The spacious interior is marked by cream-white walls and gleaming polished cement floors, simplicity without minimalism. Here, you also have the option of 12 rotating single-origin brews from a Poursteady pour-over robot, if you're not grabbing the usual latte from their standard milk-espresso menu.

Hot and savory snacks change out regularly with fun options like custom roti, and sweet treats are provided from a variety of trusty local D.C. bakeries. Despite its spacious interior, seating is limited. This Qualia may serve better as a grab-and-go option thanks to its proximity to the DC Metro.
