Root Coffee has laid down their own roots (an accidental pun I promise) on Hanover Street, right on the edge of the sprawling Liverpool ONE shopping complex, as a hub of calm within the busy city centre. Decked out with sofas mounted on to old wooden pallets and stools that make the most of the substantial window space, Root Coffee is a great people watching spot.

The coffee selection is fantastic, with one of the widest range of brewing options available in the city centre, with plenty of detail on brewing methods and beans available that week. Their food menu goes above the normal coffee cafe items, with quinoa salads, avocado toasts, muesli and rustic beans on toast all available for those with the time and appetite for brunch away from the hubbub. In-house made sweet treats are also available on the counter, with Danish Apple Cake a particular speciality, and it matches up brilliantly with their richer and deeper coffee blends.
