McCoys Arcade, where Sacred Grounds resides, is not what it seems from the outside. Inside, there's a range of artisanal shops selling tea, craft beer, and, in Sacred Grounds, speciality coffee and brunch. It's important to note that you'll only get oat milk here as it's a vegan café.

Sacred Grounds sells itself as a plant based brunch café and it offers an enticing array of food, as well as a good selection of hot and cold drinks.

Inside, it feels homely and warm, there's lots of greenery, textiles, and just enough wood so that it feels like a third wave coffee shop, but not too Scandinavian. It's a great, and different, addition to the Exeter coffee scene.

Note: when we visited it was very busy, but it was also the first week of opening. You can book in advance if you wish to stay for food.
