Taylor St Baristas - St Paul's

2 Cheapside, EC2V 6AA

Editor's Review

This busy location right next to the exit to St Paul's station is designed for volume: dedicated in and out doors, a highly efficient staff and a set up including a bulk brew filter and Black Eagle espresso machine. There is a small standing area where you might enjoy an espresso but generally you’re advised to take out your coffee and sit in the relative serenity of the gardens of St Paul’s Cathedral.

Despite the purposefulness, this is an elegant café for such a tiny space with a clever design that takes account of location, customer movement and the logistics of staff operation. A number of baked goods are available as well as muesli and breakfast pots. Coffee is by Taylor St themselves; teas are from Postcard or Waterloo teas. There are a number of coffee options near St Paul's now and this is a good addition and a great location for Taylor Street Baristas.

There has been a church dedicated to St Paul on the site of the Cathedral since 604 AD. After 1411 years, you can now get a great coffee a stone’s throw away.
