103 Waterloo Rd, Lambeth, London SE1 8UL, UK
Urban Baristas have the knack of finding great locations close to train or tube stations in areas much in need of further speciality coffee options. After Bounds Green and Wapping, they have turned their eye to Waterloo and this tiny takeaway spot is well placed. There are a great many fine details and touches here – look for echoes of Chalk Architecture’s innovative design at the Wapping café.
There is filter coffee available as well as espresso based drinks from Union and guest roasters and Urban Baristas’ menu, as always, features other plant-based drinks such as turmeric and a red velvet utilising cold-pressed beetroot. There are a range of alternatives to dairy. Food includes pastries, smashed avocado on sourdough, toasties, soup, and chia pots.
