The WBC competition will take place at the Amsterdam World of Coffee on 21st to 23rd June this year.

When did you fall in love with coffee?

It was purely by accident and it wasn’t love at first sight. It is one of those grown-up relationships; we became friends in my first job and one day I woke up as a coffee lover.

What was your first coffee job?

It was at a coffee shop chain in a railway station - we called it Latte Factory.

If you didn’t work in coffee, what would you do?

I have no idea, but I would love to be involved in football management.

What exceptional coffee will you be using in the WBCs in Amsterdam? Tell us about the coffee and what it tastes like.

It is an Ethiopian coffee from a new growing area in Mesina village. It tastes like passion fruit, pineapple, peach, and cherry

Who would you most like to make coffee for and why?

This one is hard. There is a lot of people I admire, and would love to make coffee for them, but I’m afraid I might faint just before the brewing if I met them.

Who would play you in the story of your life?

It would have to be someone who can change from minute to minute and have very a specific sense of humour.

If you opened a cafe today, what would be on your first day playlist?

This would have to be a long day!! I listen to music all the time. For sure, some songs from Mumford and Sons, X Ambassadors, some Polish music like Kortez, Męskie Granie, Mikromusic. Also, there would be plenty of spots for classics such as: Queen, Aerosmith, Bryan Adams etc. If I had to choose one song it would be: Orla Cien by Varius Manx.

What’s your favourite way to make coffee?

Any way that gives a good result…

What are you most excited about in coffee?

That no matter how hard I try, I still know almost nothing about it.
