When did you fall in love with coffee?

Around two years ago, when I had my first cup of Kenyan coffee. It was so different from the coffees I had been drinking and it made me fall in love with coffee and want to learn more about it.

What was your first coffee job?

I’m still working at my first coffee job. I’m a barista at Kaffitár and have been for the past few years and I really enjoy it.

If you didn’t work in coffee, what would you do?

I would probably be doing something art related, I love art and drawing. If not that, maybe something with animals.

What exceptional coffee will you be using in the WBCs in Amsterdam? Tell us about the coffee and what it tastes like.

I will be using coffee from Kirinyaga in Kenya but that’s all I’m saying for now. Let’s keep it a bit mysterious until Amsterdam!

Who would you most like to make coffee for and why?

Hmm, good question. I love making coffee for everyone but maybe my grandma, she has shown a lot of interest in what I’m doing, and I want to make more cups for her and show her how diverse and fun coffee is.

Who would play you in the story of your life?

Could we get cats to recreate the story of my life?

If you opened a café today, what would be on your first day playlist?

Probably some Tame Impala

What’s your favourite way to make coffee?

Currently my favourite way is a pour over, it is so much fun and you can experiment so much with it and get different results and tastes. My must have product for my pour over is Acaia Pearl and I’m so happy that they have me in their sponsorship program. Thank you Acaia.
