Batch and Co
54 Streatham Hill, SW2 4RD
Editor's Review
You might be forgiven for thinking a speciality cafe named Batch and Co was a play on batch filter brewing, but it actually turns out to be a play on the owner's name and their desire to provide coffee and a community space.
Batch and Co surveyed several speciality coffee roasters before landing on Caravan coffee, opting to serve their Market Blend espresso with milk from the Estate dairy, as well as offering a single origin pour over selected from the seasonal selection from Caravan. Hot or cold cascara tea is also available here, which provides a nice fruity alternative. The cafe is in the process of applying for an alcohol license and plans to serve a variety of coffee based cocktails if successful in their application.
There is a healthy looking breakfast and brunch menu prepared and served freshly from their kitchen with regular rotation of the menu. Cakes are sourced from the Post Office Bakery and a local organic vegetarian bakery.
This is a large space with high energy music and plenty of seating room, and seemed to provide a suitable space for mobile workers. Batch and Co is also used to host local events supporting the community, especially in service of local youth initiatives.
