Boundless Plains Espresso
19 Rector St, New York, NY 10006, USA
Upon entering Boundless Plains, you may have to adjust your view, for its unsuspectingly small storefront in the Financial District will reveal a bright, open cafe that's practically glowing. White and light grey painted walls allow the many spotlights above to bounce off one another, while rope lighting lines the backs of the benches inside. Interior accents are simple, with light wood and white wire chairs setting a fresh, clean start to the morning.
Boundless Plains takes an Australian approach to its cafe menu in that they uphold a meticulous standard of service in both food and coffee offerings. While the cafe sources roasts from Parlor Coffee for a simple menu of well-prepared espresso-milk classics and drip coffee (non-dairy options include soy and almond), much of their simple and health-forward brunch options take note from Melbourne, with foods like avocado toasts with Meredith's goat feta and chia pudding and a selection of pressed juices to go. Be sure to take a seat and hang out for awhile. These friendly Australian faces are happy to have you in the neighborhood, whether you're a regular descending from Battery Park or a tourist making a caffeine pit stop on the way to the World Trade Center.
