Like any village shop, this place has a community feel and serves as a local social hub as well as a business. Froth & Rind sell fine cheese and craft beer – what a superb combination and organize events such as beer and cheese pairings. Coffeewise, it’s a simple, uncomplicated espresso offering using beans from local roastery Curved Brick as well as Climpson & Sons and Coffee Officina. Froth & Rind pride themselves on working with local businesses and have a steady supply of cakes and pastries from local bakers as well as ice cream and sorbets from Walthamstow’s 'Amelia’s Ices’. Their famous toasties attract visitors from outside the area with a core menu and unusual weekly specials (e.g. Brie, chocolate and basil) proving popular. Cycle or walk over to picturesque and traffic-free Orford Road and pay these guys a visit if you’re in Walthamstow.
