Little Canal
26 Canal St, New York, NY 10002, USA
Editor's Review
Little Canal is a little gem, nestled into the angling streets towards Chinatown with a welcoming vibe that's much-needed in this area for lovers of both day and late night beverage-sipping. The ownership's Michigan roots are betrayed by their selections: MadCap coffee from Grand Rapids and midwest-crafted beers are conspicuous behind the bar, while a complement of food ensures there'll be more than a few reasons to return to this charming space.
Breakfast and lunch are served here until 4pm (think lighter fare like split-pea toasts and tuna salads) making way for dinner (and wine) in later hours. Enjoy your coffee at the bar or a table in this light-and-plant-filled nook of a café (while enjoying whatever vinyl may be spinning at the moment) or take it across the street to Seward Park.
Note that it's open until midnight or later every night, so whatever your pleasure—Little Canal is nearly always there for you.
