Nagare Coffee
Ground Floor, 40 Brushfield St, London E1 6AG, UK
Editor's Review
Good things come to those who wait, and 233 years later this Georgian shopfront finally becomes a wonderful speciality coffee stop. Open from the start of 2023, Nagare Coffee takes up a tiny slice of the looming Spitalfields complex and offers a moment of peace in this bustling area.
Surfing Curve's espresso as the house option, there is a monthly guest rotating for both espresso and filter. Whilst small, the cafe itself is beautifully designed and you can feel the Japanese influence in the ceramic ware and small merch range. You won't find a full lunch menu here, but cakes and pastries in from Mahali & Co will tempt your sweet tooth.
We sampled Oat Flat White and Long Black, all on the house coffee. The oat/milk was combined excellently and the long black was extracted well. We sat comfortably on the windowsill, reading a book, and can't wait to go back.
Images taken from @nagarecoffee - they were much better than our efforts.
