Opposite the park, on the corner of Friendly Street and Albyn Road, a small café sprang up at the end of October 2017, bringing good quality coffee and herbal teas to the area. Both the food and drink have takeaway options, so it is ideal for popping in to grab a morning coffee and croissant or picking up a healthy spot of lunch and one of their sweet treats. If you’d rather stay a while, it seems to be set up for the laptop brigade – tables are mostly for two (apart from a cosy sofa in the ‘Pink Room’ off the main area) and it’s quiet and relaxed with minimalist decor offering little distraction. Pets are more than welcome, and vegan and gluten free options are available and delicious.
