The pale green palette and quiet atmosphere inside Populus Coffee is somewhat reminiscent of a 1970s cafeteria, but this is easily overcome by wonderful coffee and a lovely view over the Landwehr Canal. Populus roasts its own beans and produces all of its food in-house. The weekend brunches are particularly popular, and the staff is excellent. Although they claim to be taking things slow, the lack of apparent errors suggest that big things are to come.
