This might just be the most impressive looking of any of the Grind mini-chain – even opulent. Set in the Grade 1 listed setting of the Royal Exchange, this is all marble, brass and polished plaster. It’s an espresso bar by day and a cocktail bar at night. As well as Grind’s f coffee (they’re now roasting themselves) you can have a signature Espresso Martini or the new Vespa Martini. Milk is from The Estate Dairy and tea from Jing. They have a light offer of breakfast and lunch food, with fresh pastries, sandwiches and salads. Right opposite the Bank of England, this is a very elegant city setting to enjoy a coffee.
