Sit & Wonder Café
688 Washington Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11238
Editor's Review
One of the first cafes to come to this now-bustling strip in Prospect Heights, Sit & Wonder is a low-key and welcoming shop with a cozy open space and outdoor seating. A real neighborhood spot with a book exchange, free WiFi, and occasional coffee tastings. They also serve a nice selection of pastries, including the ever-popular Dough donuts, and pre-made sandwiches, including several vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
The tables in the back are always full of laptops, but between the spacious yard, a counter in the window up front that is perfect for people-watching, and a few other nooks, you can usually find a comfortable seat. You can also count on a great music selection at this casual neighborhood hub.
