It's a rare thing indeed to find a pub that does good coffee, let alone speciality coffee to a café's standard. The Alice House in West Hampstead is just such a place, though. The coffee machine is tucked away in a back room and churns out Coleman Coffee Roasters brews. The vibe of the pub is also unusually relaxed, so this is somewhere you could come of an afternoon, enjoy a great cup of coffee and sit and read, or even get some work done. 

There is a superb brunch offering, as well as other hot food, so this is a classic Saturday morning destination. They are a friendly bunch, too, and dogs are so welcome that they even get their own bowls of water brought over. All in all, the Alice House provides a great ambience, a good cup of coffee, and a strong food offering. Perfect for meets where not everyone wants to neck a beer, and a great spot for a weekend brunch. Note – the venue is open to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays and can be booked for private functions.
