The first North American outpost of this Australia-based roaster makes a visual splash: think a Pottery Barn version of a coffee bar – rustic chic with $9 grilled cheese sandwiches and the ultimate accessories – an operating coffee roaster in the back, along with a Brew Lab for public and private classes. The "living room" of this space is filled with a variety of seating, from community tables to a long couch with marble tables to a laptop-free counter, and the walls provide loads of eye candy. Shelves are filled with household antique items like old books, typewriters, and vintage sewing machines, plus "classic" French wallpaper with Biggie and Brooklyn trains etched on it (designed by a Beastie Boys member).

Coffee options are ample, with several different roasts to choose from via pour-over and several styles of cold brew on tap; soy and almond are your non-dairy alternatives. Even the tea presentation is elegant – expect your English Breakfast to be served with a tea press and high tea cups and saucers, and pair with a kitchen menu of fancy sandwiches and locally sourced pastries. Order filter brews from the stylish marble counter brew bar, or have a Flat White from the La Marzocco Strada. Food is served until mid-afternoon.
