The WBC competition will take place at the Amsterdam World of Coffee on 21st to 23rd June this year.

When did you fall in love with coffee?

It was not just one moment. I'd say it was a period, when I found out that coffee is not just a beverage, but a long story about fantastic people, ideas and flavours....

What was your first coffee job?

I was a barista in a small coffee shop. It was not a specialty place, but we had a great team and a passion to learn more!

If you didn’t work in coffee, what would you do?

It would surely be something connected with wine and traveling.

What exceptional coffee will you be using in the WBCs in Amsterdam? Tell us about the coffee and what it tastes like.

We never look for easy ways! It will be a great experiment but let's keep it secret for now.

Who would you most like to make coffee for and why?

Actually, I really like to make coffee for open-minded people who have never tried any special coffees before. It's a great pleasure to be a guide into this huge coffee world!

Who would play you in the story of your life?

A friend of mine told me I should be played by Ruby Rose. That seems to be a good idea!

If you opened a café today, what would be on your first day playlist?

I'd divide the playlist to morning and evening parts:
Funky morning - The Bamboos and Kylie Auldist
Electronic evening – Bonobo and Moderat

What’s your favourite way to make coffee?

I'm in love with the v60. Clean cup, simple brewing.

What are you most excited about in coffee?

I do really love the way coffee connects people all over the world. It is a language you can speak in any country.
