Department Of Coffee And Social Affairs
7 New York St, Manchester M1 4JB, UK
Editor's Review
Department of Coffee and Social Affairs are already well known in London, with an expanding number of spaces, and they're now in Manchester in a well-designed, comfortable space in the centre of the city. Coffee comes from their own, in-house roasters, and is available in a variety of formats. Interestingly, DoCaSA are also opening a co-working, members' space within the same building out back of the coffee space, where you'll be able to work and stay caffeinated with drinks from the café.
The co-working space is big and has lockers, printers, and plenty of desks, and, given the venue's central location, will likely become quite a hub for tech and creative types. That's not to say the café has taken its eye off the coffee ball, though, and the staff are knowledgable and friendly. With more venues planned, expect to see further expansion from DoCaSA in Manchester.
