6/8 Kafe
Curzon St, Birmingham B4 7XG, UK
Editor's Review
Located on the second floor of Millennium Point, a hulking glass and metal edifice that houses various science and university-related bodies, 6/8 Kafé serves up Has Bean in espresso-based drinks. The setting is functional – formica-topped tables and metal chairs, but there's plenty of seating and the long bar area means that queues don't bunch and one can clearly see the various sandwiches and other snacks available.
While this is probably not the sort of café one would make a special trip to visit, a decent cup of joe and a good range of pasties, toasties, and sandwiches are on offer. Gluten-, dairy-, and nut-free food is available, as are vegan options. Toilets are within Millennium Point, rather than the venue itself, but they are copious and nearby.
