Located on one of Sydney’s prettiest streets in the heart of Surry hills, Artificer is a must-visit on any Sydney coffee tour. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available in this sun-filled corner shop. For those wishing to chat to the the knowledgable baristas, there is a standup bar, with view to the Joper roaster nestled in the back of the cafe.

Coffee is the sole focus here, with all beans roasted in house and a real focus on sourcing. The seasonal blend is always changing but delivers a consistent flavour profile. An ever-changing range of single origins are available as both espresso or filter (batch brew or Kalita Wave). All batch brewed coffees are pre-sieved to remove the fines for a ‘cleaner and consistent’ flavour. 

Apart from hot chocolate and free filtered water, it is coffee only here, but that is a good thing.
