The original spot for an industry favourite, Small Batch – even as part of the St Ali/Sensory lab family, the Small Batch beans have stayed on at Auction Rooms, post sale, and rightly so. It represents the soul, energy, and personality of the building. Candyman is alway a crowd favourite for milky drinks, but the quality and variety of beans for COD ‘Coffee of the Day’ are always on showcase and a delight for the palette. Full flavours are apparent in both espresso and filter, highlighted from expertly sourced and a detailed focus on roasting and brewing. Small Batch roast exceptional coffee.

Attention to detail is evident in every brew poured and espresso shot pulled. This follows through with their seasonal food menu and drinks available on bar. Everything is done well.

The building has two bars under its high ceilings, one for espresso (and alcohol) taking centre stage, and a brew-bar upon entry. It’s a beautiful building, inside and out. Seating surrounds both bars, and there is a striking courtyard with fiery red maple leafs draping the walls against exposed brick.

It's also worth noting that across the road, Counter Coffee serves the same exceptional brews with some small snacks, predominantly for takeaway.
