The first thing you notice upon entering the second Back to Black café is that it's so serene. It feels calm and the interior puts you at ease almost immediately. Natural light, woods, and pale colours make the space a great place to sit and enjoy a well-made coffee.

Although it's a natural feeling place to sit, it's also playful; there's a swing seat and also a tap made from a group handle, where you can fill your glass. It's these finishing touches that illustrate how well thought out the space is.

Location wise, Back to Black Van Hallstraat is a short bus ride out of the centre but completely worth the journey; not just for the coffee but also for the great cake (definitely try the carrot cake), and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
