Beany Green
Unit 6C, Sheldon Square, Paddington, W2 6EZ
Editor's Review
Long considered a desert when it came to good coffee, the area around Paddington Station is coming on leaps and bounds, not least since the arrival of the Sheldon Square branch of fast growing Antipodean inspired chain, Beany Green. Constantly busy, with streams of office workers and residents from Sheldon Square’s multiple tower blocks, Beany Green is, in a good way, a strange place. It looks like a pop-up, thrown together one evening, with tables made of scaffolding poles, but it’s here to stay. A large, airy space, with windows along the long side, wrapping around the corner by the door, Beany Green serves an espresso based menu with beans from Winchester based Aussie transplants, The Roasting Party. There’s a decent breakfast and lunch menus, and a wide selection of cake. The staff are friendly and welcoming and there are touches of Aussie madness everywhere, including a row of deck chairs out front. Even in January!
