Hidden under Rockefeller Center is this outpost of Blue Bottle, fueling hundreds of office workers, tourists and NBC employees every day—at least, the ones who know it’s there. (Tip: enter at 15 W. 48th St., continue past the reception desk to the left, and go down the stairs.) Don’t be put off if the line extends out the door; during peak hours this cafe runs two fully outfitted bars, and staffers keep the coffee and house-made treats (both pastries and pre-packaged to-go snacks) flowing in friendly fashion.

The selection of single-origin and house-blend espresso drinks and pour-over coffee is typical of Blue Bottle’s standards around the country, and all the accoutrements (take-home beans, brewing devices and various merch) are on-hand as well.
