How do you create a hopping beach-cafe vibe in the West Village? This cafe-restaurant-hangout from Aussie-led Bluestone Lane nails the atmosphere, and it has the menu to back it up: a full range of Melbourne-style coffee drinks (long black, flat white, Aussie iced lattes) as well as a stack of fresh brunch plates – including a variety of Balthazar toasts, egg dishes, and pastries from partner Husk Bakeshop (of course the lamington is good here) – cold-press juices, and an Australian-flavored beer and wine list.

The bright, bustling interior (even the espresso machine is powder white) reflects the cheery, doting staff, while the quasi-secret back space can feel like a treasure.
