Heading out of Brighton centre, towards Brighton and Hove Albion’s Falmer Stadium on the Lewes Road, you can find Brewed, a small independent coffeeshop serving coffee from a rotation of roasters. Very much a neighbourhood café, they also serve beers and wines from midday, cocktails in the evening from 7pm and simple tasty brunches from a tiny open kitchen. Try pancakes with bacon and fried banana or a kimchi Reuben or a range of vegetarian offerings.

It’s a friendly place, and pet friendly too, with a water bowl for canine companions. Coffee roasters featured recently have included Cast Iron Roasters, Coffee @33, Alchemy and Yallah Coffee. It’s also one of those delightful coffeeshops that have appeared more recently that offer a range of roasters’ beans for retail.
