BREWWELL
6515 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028, USA
Editor's Review
BrewWell started in 2013 as one of the first specialty coffee shops in Koreatown, a hidden gem tucked away in a building behind a supermarket. Despite its success, owners and sisters Grace and Elizabeth Rhee were forced to vacate the space after a developer purchased the building in 2015. Now, BrewWell has risen from the ashes and is reborn as an adorable aesthetically-driven kiosk on Sunset Boulevard—a tourist and business-heavy area whose coffee options were seriously limited until a recent revival in development.
While the quarters themselves may be tiny, BrewWell truly stands out from its neighbors on the block. Fresh paint, clean brick, and high ceilings with skylight windows make BrewWell feel much more spacious than your average coffee stand. But, with seating limited to a couple of outdoor benches and tables, be prepared to take your brews to go.
Standouts include the Nut-Tell-Latte, the Honey & Cinnamon Latte, and an artisanal soda from Good Luck Soda, while pressed juices from the Renew Juicery satisfy the Hollywood need for a wellness beverage. Be wary of parking in this area; it's limited to meters and hourly restrictions.
