A cafe with a rooftop, which here in Melbourne is almost unheard of.Bright and colourful umbrellas form a ceiling and lend a strong visual identity to the venue. With open suburban views, Cafe Bü has set up an ideal spot to sit upstairs, outside, and enjoy the open air from the upper level with some quite pleasant views and surroundings. Laid with synthetic grass, succulents and cacti, the rooftop provides a comforting, homely feeling. Having sunscreen available for all customers is a nice touch by the owners. With all seasons in mind, there are also heaters for the colder days.

Part of the venue sits atop of what looks like a caravan with takeaway windows and minimal seating. Next door, where the kitchen uses only sustainable and local products, there's a larger and more modern setting with plenty of seating, spilling out onto the pavement under tin roofing. The two buildings themselves have great character and are set along a great runway with views to the city. They use their own blend with 5 Senses coffee for milky drinks for a nice sweet finish, and a rotating single origin is available for blacks and batch for filter.
