Boscombe, between Bournemouth and Christchurch in Dorset and a short walk from the beach, is home to Boscanova, a lovely, friendly location which serves great coffee and superb food. The interior has a very laid-back, beach-infused vibe, and can seem a touch cluttered, but there is ample seating indoors and a few seats and tables outside too.

Coffee comes from South Coast Roast and there are a range of beans available both for purchase and to have as a filter option. Soya, almond, and oat milk are all available. The food is excellent, with full English breakfasts using sausages from a local farm in Cranbourne and other fresh ingredients, as well as more classic brunch options involving avocado, halloumi, granola and the like. 

What really marks this café out, though, is the atmosphere and the superb staff, who are welcoming, friendly, and well-informed, both about the coffee and the local area. It might be a bit of a detour from your journey, but a visit to Boscanova is well worth it.
