Demitasse is a long-time small-batch roaster that's proudly local. With a small, but mighty, stack of wholesale accounts and cafés throughout the city, their flagship Little Tokyo location proves to be a go-to for the neighborhood after visitors get their ramen and sushi fixes. These self-proclaimed coffee geeks kick it with a variety of brewing equipment. 

Upon entering, you'll notice the gleaming, massive globes brewing Kyoto-style iced coffee on display in the window, whilst siphons behind the bar provide a more interactive experience for the true coffee nerd. Don't be intimidated by the science at hand, though. When the baristas aren’t crafting their own coffee concoctions for menu features, this friendly team is either crème brulee torching marshmallows for their signature Lavender Liquid Hot Chocolate or chatting up regulars at the bar. Try one of their seasonal brews on Clever Drip or sip on an espresso drink.

The amount of dessert-like specialties are equally abundant, with beverages like the aforementioned hot chocolate, an “Iced Minty Cubano,” and each barista’s “Signature Drink.” Food options are limited to Sugar Bloom pastries, but definitely get your true LA vibes on with the singular breakfast burrito they've provided, which comes fresh on the daily from the Rooster Truck while supplies last.
