Caffe Vita — Bushwick

Caffe Vita has a major presence in Seattle, as well as cafes in several other west coast locations. And while their sturdy brew is fairly new to the east coast, this full-scale roasting operation in Bushwick gives the distinct impression they plan on putting down some roots here. Actually, not only does Vita roast here, they also wholesale professional brewing equipment out of the space, and they rep several top-shelf restaurant brands for the east coast.

But that’s not why you are here, right? You want a cup of coffee!!! Well, they can do that too, serving espresso, Japanese slow drip coffee, cold brew and French press – they even sell go boxes of French press to take to your next breakfast meeting. There are a few pastries from Colson and a couple of other treats as well. The vibe here is very stylish and slick, sort of a modern take on 1950s-era Italian cool, lots of black lacquer and bright neon, a distinct look even in this industrial setting.
