Cedarwood is one of the newer kids on the block in Preston, combining a cool venue with fantastic coffee. Based on Winckley Street, just off the impressive green space of Winckley Square, there is a real mixed customer base wandering for coffee. On a warm day, there will be students from the nearby University of Central Lancashire, office workers, and local coffee aficionados mixing in the cosy space and street side outdoor area.

The cobbled streets around the square have become something of an alternative quarter in the city centre, away from the busy nearby Fishergate, and Cedarwood is at the heart of that.

The interior of the café is small, but personal its main strength appears to be on hot days, where it offers a sanctuary from sunbathing and walking around the shops in the city centre - there is even a handy sign pointing you in the right direction from Fishergate.
