Coffee At 33
33 Trafalgar St, Brighton BN1, UK
Editor's Review
Coffee@33’s simple, unpretentious café is the highlight of Trafalgar Street, which itself is home to a number of cafes. Although there are tasty pastries and sandwiches on display, the space really feels all about the coffee, with shelves of Coffee@33’s own beans – their roasting is really very good, and their location perfect for a stop off before catching a train from the nearby station although, to be fair, most of their regulars look like they take their time to drink coffee and explore conversation inside.
The pour-over brew station catches the eye and provides the simplest method to best enjoy their coffee. If you are in the mood for something espresso based however, there’s a La Marzocco PB espresso machine and experienced and knowledgeable staff. Décor is minimalistic, relaxed and unadorned – nothing to distract from the coffee and conversation, except the occasional cake or croissant.
