Not long ago, a high-concept coffee bar/laboratory like Coffee Project New York would have sounded out of place in Downtown Brooklyn, steps from busy Flatbush Avenue and the decidedly hodgepodge Fulton Mall. But, today's Downtown Brooklyn is a fancy place, with fancy condos, food halls, an Apple Store, and yes, a boutique multiroaster café featuring many lesser-known roasteries (including some beans of its own) brewed on a variety of hi-tech methods like Steampunk and Ground Control brewers. 

Have a chat with your barista about what's best today, then settle in for table-service delivery while the nouveau DTBK set quietly hobnobs around you.
