It’s hard to ignore that Cornersmith’s second venue is a classier, younger sibling to their original Marrickville site. This backstreet Annandale location features a beautiful timber-clad brew bar, wide and sturdy furniture, and a large open kitchen, and feels like somewhere you could sit all day. Tables line the corner outdoors for dog owners and those looking to get some sunshine. Or, grab a blanket and sit in the park over the road for complete picnic experience. 

The coffee bar has also had some modern trimmings - they were one of the first cafés in Sydney to feature a coffee machine with ABR scales built-in, meaning baristas are able to control their espresso recipes to razor-sharp precision. Most beans come courtesy of Mecca (House Blend), with guest options from Sample coffee roasters. 

Cornersmith are taking over the country with their food revolution. They have released two cookbooks and host weekly classes. The chalkboard on the wall features names of local residents who have traded produce for the cafe to use. The menu is all-vegetarian, delicious and exciting thanks to the sweeping range of toasties, salads, cheeses, pickles and fresh produce.
