Craft Coffee (Kings Cross)
Battle Bridge Place, Kings Cross, N1C 4TB
Editor's Review
Craft have taken over the site formerly occupied by Noble Espresso – big shoes to fill – but Jamie and Emily have been running coffee stalls since 2012 and are rightly regarded as coffee cart legends. To find it with ease, head north alongside Kings Cross past the taxi ranks, and as the space opens up near the office buildings and shops, there they are.
The coffee is excellent, espresso-based and using Square Mile beans. There is usually a rush from opening at 7am until the commuters have drifted off, but it's worth the very reasonable wait.
While the venue is just a stall, there are benches as part of the station's street furniture, so you can take a seat while drinking your cafe. It's also a great spot for people watching if you're not in a rush; if you're catching a train, it's the best nearby coffee that can be grabbed in a hurry.
Beans are available to buy, but only whole; the current offering is from Bristol's excellent Round Hill Roastery.
