Curve Roasters - Storeroom

Curve started life roasting coffee at the back of Cliffs cafe in Cliftonville, and although their roasting operation is still based there, they have since opened Storeroom in the refurbished Printworks building. While this is closer to the centre of Margate and the Old Town, it is slightly tucked away on a side street - look for their logo painted on the side of the building.

Through the gates and up a metal staircase, you will first come across their terrace with a few tables to enjoy your coffee sat outside. Inside is the perfect balance of stark modern white walls and vaulted ceiling, cosied up with plants and vintage seating. There is usually a choice of two single origin beans for espresso, another on batch brew and a couple more for filter. Friendly and knowledgeable staff will talk you through the options to help you choose something best suited to you.

The naturally processed Rwandan beans I chose paired perfectly with milk for a rich flat white. By the entrance you’ll find a selection of their beans to take home and equipment to brew them with. The delicious food options are made up of baked goods, open sandwiches, and at the weekend a couple of larger brunch options.
