Drop Coffee
Wollmar Yxkullsgatan 10, 118 50 Stockholm, Sweden
Editor's Review
Drop coffee roasters is a name familiar to many far and wide for speciality coffee roasted in Sweden. The cafe sits on a quiet street on the southern Isle of Södermalm is undoubtedly the best place to experience their coffees as well as being a tranquil place to enjoy a quiet coffee and catch up on some reading. In the summer, they have handy street seating from which you can watch the world pass by in their striking yellow deckchairs.
Drop coffee is always well visited, but rarely feels chaotic, with plenty of space inside, bathed in soft wooden surfaces and simple aesthetics with their trademark turquoise colours lining the walls. The filter coffee menu is the centre piece of the cafe and showcases the roastery with a stunning range of their seasonal coffees on at any one time, which can be made to order one of their Marco bev SP9 brewers. Espresso based drinks are skillfully made on a 2 group La Mozocco and they also serve iced coffees, their own cold brew, and cascara and tonic for those in the mood for something a little cooler.
This cafe makes a great place to sample some of their seasonal range whilst reading a newspaper, which if you can read Swedish, are handily hung on the wall. For those in need to kill a few hours and out of battery, they also have a quiet corner with books for adults and toys for children. This cafe is clearly a must visit for any speciality coffee tourists visiting the city and the interior makes for great social media pictures.
