Flat White (The Pearl)

When Nasser Al-Naemi and Maryam Al-Bader launched Flat White in 2016, they wanted to educate locals how to taste good coffee. There was no sugar on display, and when customers asked for it, Nasser would explain why his coffee didn’t need to be sweetened. He’d show Qataris - who were used to international chains - how to taste coffee. And it seems to be working. Since Nasser started reprogramming local taste buds, a steady stream of third-wave cafes have been opening up across Qatar.

Flat White has become the benchmark for good coffee in Doha. They serve (and sell) guest beans from roasters around the world. And often have international visiting baristas who come for training. Flat White has recently opened two new outposts: in Tawar Mall and Education City.
