Foundation Coffee House is an impressive venue, spacious and bright, buzzing with atmosphere and serving up excellent coffee from Origin, who roast a house blend for them. As well as espresso-based drinks, there's filter from V60, Aeropress, and Chemex, as well as a batch brew. The space is huge, with table seating and window bays, making it a great spot to meet friends or crack on with some work. White brick walls, a liberal smattering of potted plants, and some lovely design work on the signage and windows give Foundation a modern, stylish vibe.

The venue also serves an excellent brunch and lunch menu, with sufficiently filling options to keep you going. In the evenings, there's more a bar vibe, and they swear by their espresso martinis (disclaimer – this reviewer did not partake). There's a decent retail selection offering coffee-themed products, rather than kit, but you can buy the house blend to take with you. There is disabled access to the side of the venue, clearly sign-posted at the front.
