This past year has been a good one for north Londoners as some of the capital’s quality players in specialty coffee have moved in, amongst them Giddy Up. With their fourth stall running in Angel, Giddy Up’s game is now familiar - a lone barista expertly pulling shots of Square Mile on a finely tuned La Marzocco GB5. But the setting in Islington Green is particularly picturesque, where the idea of starting the day with a morning flat white or taking the time to enjoy a post- lunch espresso is not only appealing but downright sensible.

The charisma and skill of Giddy Up’s team of baristas is difficult to beat, and the quality of their coffee is consistently excellent. If Giddy Up’s popular stall in Fortune Park is anything to go by, their Islington Green location will soon become an integral part of every local resident’s routine.
