Grams

Editor's Review
Sat right on the Haymarket Tram Stop is Grams, which proudly prints the words “Eat better, not less.” on its walls. Do not mistake this for a sterile venture into the clean-eating market - Grams is a cool, modern cafe that has few comparisons in the city.
The immediate upshot to a cafe that puts so much focus on its ingredients is that its menu is incredibly accessible. There are plenty of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and dairy free options, both sweet and savoury, and this is all easily understandable from the menu. If you’ve heard about vegan pulled pork but haven’t managed to track it down, Grams pile it high on baked sweet potatoes and in salad boxes, and it’s delicious. Grams also do a fine line in fancy cakes, if that’s your bag.
There’s a real minimalist feel to the interiors here. Clean, white walls and tiling, succulents on the tables and plants hanging from the walls. The space looks small from the outside, but the design makes it feel open, bright and welcoming. One to check out before you catch a train, or just as you’ve arrived.
