Greene Grape Annex
753 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY 11217
Editor's Review
An offshoot of fancy-food purveyor The Greene Grape and inhabiting what was once the grocer's original spot, The Annex is decidedly more approachable than its sister company, offering a snob-free coffee shop experience that's more college-town than Brookyn chichi. Computers are plentiful here (though note the two-top tables are all laptop-free zones) and the atmosphere – including a beautiful corner solarium with cushy seats to sink into – definitely encourages you to linger awhile. And with two (!) bathrooms, solid coffee offerings with beans by Cafe Grumpy, a full line of freshly prepared hot foods, and a beer and wine license, and long hours – what's the hurry?
